Read to Ride
Available for Schools or Libraries
The USA BMX Read to Ride Program is available for schools, libraries or other out-of-school providers, including Boys and Girls Clubs, Girl Scouts and others.
The program is designed to encourage, motivate, and inspire youth to develop and improve their reading skills during non-school hours and combat learning loss over extended school breaks.
The top overall reader receives a BMX bike and helmet and the BMX Foundation provides other prizes for each grade/age level reader. All students are given a Certificate of Accomplishment and a free one-day membership to USA BMX, entitling them to a day of riding at the track.
From books and magazines to comics, e-reads to newspapers, we believe that like a bike, books promote imagination and give children the opportunity to travel to new ideas and worlds far away.
